Entreprenuers: Beyond wildest dreams.

Zuckerberg founded Facebook at age 20  when he was still in college. Zuckerberg is now one of the wealthiest people in the world, valued at more than $40.7 billion. Sergey Brin and Larry Page founded Google when they were both 25. British entrepreneur Carl Churchill started his first Web design business at age 12. Today he’s worth more than $10 million. Juliath Brindak began creating sketches of characters at age 10, and then developed a complementary social-media platform at age 16. Her company, Miss O & Friends is now worth an estimated $15 million and the list goes on and on…

But, what exactly are these entrepreneurs doing right that’s making them succeed while still being so young and inexperienced? What can entrepreneurs at any age learn from them. Here are the key things that make entrepreneurs wildly wealthy at a young age:

  • They innovate and create their own markets.
Successful entrepreneurs go beyond just creating better versions of what is already in the market. They also invest their time and resources into creating something totally new, bringing to life systems that are more efficient and/or more stylish. In doing so, they create their own market and offer people better solutions and experiences. No entrepreneur epitomizes this innovative genius better than Steve Jobs. Jobs introduced the stylish, high-end Macintosh computers, which etched their own space in the computer market and continue to dominate that market today. Even Bill Gates acknowledged his tech rival’s genius when he said:
“To create a new standard, it takes something that’s not just a little bit different; it takes something that’s really new and really captures people’s imagination—and the Macintosh, of all the machines I’ve ever seen, is the only one that meets that standard.”
  • They are risk takers and action oriented.
No ‘analysis paralysis’, here. These successful entrepreneurs just do it. They take risks. From dropping out of college to playing the stock market and venturing into new industries, these entrepreneurs are risk takers.
  • They seek the support of people that can help them grow.
No entrepreneurial venture really succeeds without utilizing the right people. Successful entrepreneurs know this. They utilize the power of other successful and well-known people (like the “sharks”) to build credibility. Not connecting with the right people can cost you your success as an entrepreneur.
  • They see opportunities and then exploit them.
As a student, George Burgess had trouble finding any useful apps to help him prepare for his A-levels. The fact that there are numerous apps in the market for just about anything you can think of, and that none of them helped students get through their education struck him as an ideal opportunity for investment.
  • They use self-initiative and work hard and smart.
The only way to build something great is to work really hard and really smart. An entrepreneur needs to spot opportunities and then take it upon himself to step in and fill that need. According to Facebook’s Zuckerberg, you should devote yourself to what you are doing as an entrepreneur and if this means missing a few nights out then so be it.
  • They are strategic thinkers; they work on the business and minimize the effort spent on operation of the business.
Successful entrepreneurs understand the necessity to grow their business in as many different ways as possible in order to reach more people. This could be really costly and inefficient; but instead of skipping it, successful entrepreneurs make use of tools to help them achieve the purpose. They know that with a wise tool that can facilitate them to manage different selling channels effectively is halfway to success. Tools like Shopify minimizes the operation costs of the business by facilitating selling of products and services across different channels, so entrepreneurs can concentrate on the strategies of growing the business.
  • They are creative and continually come up with great new ideas.
Successful entrepreneurs not only take initiative, but also make fast decisions and adjust along the way- quickly! That’s because people tire of commodities fast, and if you don’t create something new and interesting, you will get left behind. Bill Gates – who himself dropped out of Harvard to co-found Microsoft with Paul Allen, and was the youngest billionaire in the world at just 31 years old- revealed the secret to his phenomenal success saying, “In three years, every product my company makes will be obsolete. The only question is whether we will make them obsolete or somebody else will.” Constantly adapting, improving, and putting a bit of yourself and your personality into your products is what will keep people begging for more.
  • They stay patient and focused as their business grows.
Good things come to those who wait. Knowing how to let things grow and develop, while focusing on doing a variety of tasks that help the process along, is an important part of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Too many people give up too soon because of impatience. But building successful businesses takes time, even for such gifted people as Steve Jobs. Jobs didn’t really get on the map until the Macintosh was invented eight years after he and Steve Wozniak founded Apple Inc. at 21 and 26 years of age respectively. You need to keep focused and stay patient to succeed as an entrepreneur.
  • They diversify and re-invest their riches
The most successful entrepreneurs diversify and re-invest their riches. This ensures that they never go broke. Gary Martin, a young Irish entrepreneur began running his own nightclub at the tender age of 15 (the drinking ages in the U.K. are vastly lower than in the U.S.). By the time he was 17, he had moved on to property management. By 18, he was worth $20 million and counting. He understood the importance of re-investing and diversifying your wealth. Unfortunately, not all entrepreneurs understand this fact.Andrew Fashion designed mini rocket launchers and was worth more than $2 million by the time he was 20.

  • Organizing an office makes employees more productive – easy to find tools/equipment or other items needed in performing office duties will make the workers more efficient. Imagine a minute wasted when searching for a pen in a cluttered desk multiplied by a number of instances and number of employees – that is a pretty big waste of production time. A more organized office is key to running an office smoothly, with efficiency. A professional janitorial service and office cleaning provider can help address this issue.
  • Less sick days – with a clean office, fewer employees get sick and that means less filed sick leaves.Ladies can testify to this according to the rate they get infections from washrooms .  According to a new report sick days are costing the public sector million dollars annually of lost productivity and revenue. A story of my heart!

The love of my heart

Life, oh! Life, If I have ever loved (i ever did, at least to a person )  in the truest and most pure way then I did it to one person, yes, that person who knows me well, who restored  the walls of the building i am today, by all means she takes the crown.   I mean love in the sense of everlasting friendship. I mean love in the sense that she will always be someone I could ever spend a forever with at heart

I refuse to apologize for not forgetting people like you easily. You are a big part of my life, you should know that I can’t forget you. I will never forget my favorite parts of you, whatever they may be, i guess you know how i miss your warm caring tender arms and the endless tender love, mentoring, support and care you offered that made me be cool more than the moon. Whether it is the smile,  the way you smell, the way you said my name, the way you throw your head back as you laugh, anyone who loves and treasure you like me does not forget all these unless they are out of their normal minds.

pros

I refuse to apologize for still loving you and crying for you. I confess that each mess and short coming continues to affect me. But i know its love. I refuse to act like I don’t  sit up alone with the sadness of your absence for too many nights and days.

I pray that you continue to carry the love that made me who i am. I still feel and recall everything and i yearn for all . i am on my way bringing the sheaves. Impossible of course , How can i ?.

Most of all, I hope that all of this finds you well, just reminding you how special you were to me and how i thought you would be my all .. unbreakable.

Amama Mbabazi’s Speech of hope to a working Uganda.

mbabaNovember 3rd, 2015

Remarks by Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi upon His Nomination as Presidential Candidate.

My fellow citizens, my fellow Ugandans:

I accept your nomination with gratitude and humility. It is a great honour for me to stand on this podium today and address yAou, for the first time, as a Presidential Candidate.

In the coming weeks and months, I will rely on the support of a great number of people. Some of them are sitting behind me on the podium, others are sitting or standing in front me amongst the crowd. I would like to recognizeA and thank those who have accompanied me here: my nominator and proposer: Honourable Beatrice Anywar and Ms Rosette Nsonga; TDA party leaders: Ambassador Olara Otunnu of UPC, Honourable Norbert Mao of DP, Mr. Asuman Basalirwa of JEEMA, Honourable Beti Kamya of UFA, Dr. Dick Odur of PPP, Honourable Mike Mabike of SDP and Mr. Samusu Mugobansonga of CP; eminent persons: Owekitiibwa Mulwanyammuli Ssemwogerere, Honourable Steven Kaliba and Honourable Miria Mtembe. Representing my supporters are Ms. Lina Zedriga Waru, Honourable Chemaswet and Mr. Aliro Omara. Representing the youth: Ms. Cecilia Anyakoit and Mr. Adam Luzindana.

Here in the place of my wonderful wife and family are my daughter Rachel Ciconco Mbabazi and my sister Ms. Juliet Tumusiime Bagwowabo. Last, but not least, our Chief of Staff Ms. Solome Nakaweesi-Kayondo without whom, and together with her team, none of this would be possible.

Before us is the most wide-open race in our political history, one that I believe gives us the greatest chance to achieve a historical first in Uganda: peaceful transition of power. Indeed, this is what I seek: a change in government through peaceful means and a change in governance.

Unity
To look out at this gathering is to see a multitude that reflects the power and reach of the Go Forward message and movement. The gathering here today is a true union: for whilst we are not all the same, we are all in agreement. We mirror the rich cultural diversity of this nation (indeed some of us are from the north, the east, the west and the central regions, some are Muslim, others Christian; some of us are UPC, others DP, FDC and NRM and other political parties and from civil society) and we are all here because we recognise that Uganda is, once again, at a critical turning point in her history; because we know that the battle before us is not merely a clash of values, it is a battle for the future of our children and the very soul of this nation.

Transition
Peaceful change is no light matter, for it speaks to the stability and endurance of a nation and its systems when individuals die. For what is one man when we’re talking about systems, about the future, about an entire nations’ coming of age? What is the promise of an individual political agenda against the promise of a Uganda that works for everyone?

When individuals are permitted to stand in the way of this transition, when right and wrong is determined by powerful personalities instead of the law, then we put this country and the lives of our children at risk of great instability. Because individuals and personalities are temporary; but systems, strong institutions – these things last and they are at the heart of every strong and prosperous nation on earth.

What is Go Forward/what does it mean?

Indeed, this is our common purpose: to see Uganda become strong and prosperous and to make Uganda work for everyone. For the youth and for our children – who deserve a good quality education and who desperately need jobs; for the women – who desire not to be treated as second-class citizens but as full citizens with the right to an education, the right to a healthcare system where childbirth is not a pathway to the grave and the right to have their freedoms observed and upheld; for our farmers – who are the heart of our economy and who need to be empowered by the economic might of government and through restoration of cooperatives; for our ex-combatant soldiers in the North, in the East, in the Central and Western regions of Uganda, who need to be paid their retirement dues and to be better supported, better integrated into their social environments and re-skilled so they can easily find work; for the men and women who graduate from university and other tertiary institutions but end up spending twenty years of their lives unemployed or under employed when they could do so much more; for our diaspora, who are just as Ugandan as anyone else, who contribute so much to our economy and yet still don’t have the right to vote; for our minority groups who deserve to be protected by government rather than scorned for being a particular ethnicity, or holding to a particular belief; for all Ugandans.

Civility & change
The time for change is now!
With our society increasingly divided and militarised; with a government increasingly hostile to its own citizens; with the erosion of rule of law and the separation of powers; with our soldiers and police being forced to do things that violate their mandate to serve and to protect; with the rich getting richer and the poor simply becoming worse off: the time for change is now. With 64% of our youth unemployed and many more Ugandans underemployed; with corruption eating up this nation: the time for change is now! With our political culture so uncivilised: the time for change is now. The time to debate the worthiness of our ideas and the realism of our plans is now.

Now, is the right time to make major investments in people more than in buildings and weapons: the poor, the aged, the weak and the afflicted must be treated with respect and compassion and it must be our central aim to lift them out of poverty, sickness and despair, to make old age a time of ease of life and dignity. We must build a new society.

New Leadership
This is what “Go Forward” implies. This is exactly what, in its simplicity, it recognises: that it is our noble duty to do whatever we must to survive, to endure, to succeed. Our vision is to enhance the quality of life of our people. Our challenges are old (poverty, corruption, poor healthcare) but they are also new (globalisation, technological advancement). And so for this grueling endeavour, the endeavour to foster good governance and nation-wide prosperity, we need a new type of leadership. We need both managers and statesmen. We need both experience and freshness of ideas. Those who are more inclined to abuse rather than debate cannot be fit to be heads of state. Neither are those who spend all their time lamenting, instead of identifying problems and finding long-lasting solutions.

The work is not easy and it is not meant to be. It requires someone with the right cast of mind, someone with determination and tolerance; someone who is patient, who has the strength of will and can see the bigger picture. This change we need requires serious leadership and I am offering myself to see it through. I will draw upon my experience in the most important areas of government and governance: defence and security, law and order, diplomacy and public administration.

But then it will be time to hand over to the next generation of young Ugandans to lead the country. Indeed, my task will be to preside over the transition of power from one generation to the next. In the meantime, I will get our great nation fit for the future challenges that lie ahead.

(Leave the Past behind)
My name is Amama Mbabazi. Many of you have heard of me either in good terms or bad. I would like, for a moment, to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in Cocezo, Kabale: a place so deep in the valleys of the high mountains of Kigezi it is said even eagles are afraid to land. My mother was a farmer and a leader in the church. My father was a catechist, a lay reader and a canon. They were simple, modest people who instilled in us, their children, certain unshakable values: to love hard work and discipline; to shun laziness, mediocrity, greed and entitlement; and, finally, to never forget the importance of our spirituality, as well as our relationships to both God and others.

I never betrayed these values as a young boy and I pledge to you, the Ugandan people, that I will not betray them now.

To every member of the Democratic Alliance and to all that embrace the idea of peaceful transition now: all of us here have walked distinct paths to come to this place; we may not always have agreed, but we share the same dreams, we have a common purpose: to build and secure a Uganda that works for everyone.

A new dawn is upon us and upon this our focus must rest. As Winston Churchill once said: “If we open a quarrel between the present and the past, we shall be in danger of losing the future”. Let us leave the quarrels of the past behind in favour of unity.

Let me say something else: the group of people that accompanied me here today do not comprise some new political party or organization. These are people of different backgrounds who have answered the call to action I made on June 15th.

These are people who have realized that it doesn’t matter where or what you are from, here anyone can belong: Catholics, Protestants, Born-Agains’, Bahai’s, Muslims and Traditionalists; NRM, FDC, DP, UPC, JEEMA, PPP, CP, SDP. THE JUBILEE COALITION and many others. Ours is not a partisan political idea but a universally applicable one. For the act of going forward is one every person is familiar with. Everyday we all commit our lives to doing so, to growing older, to growing wiser, to daily becoming a better version of ourselves in order to survive and to succeed.

In life we have two choices and so it is in this campaign. We can choose to be governed by confusion, intimidation and bribery; we can choose to stay in one place, to wilt and to wither; or we can choose to move on to better things, to be governed by grace and common sense. In fewer words: to go forward.

I know you will make the second choice, the right choice. And I know, that with God’s help, we will prevail.

Thank you,

God bless you

God bless this Country, Uganda.

**You are stronger than You realize**

stronger

Life is going to throw some crazy things your way. Maybe they won’t be an arena filled with insane mutts or a just a simple affair, but the fact is crazy things will happen. That’s life. I am not a fun of movies so much but one of my favorite movies is the “Hunger Games” , in this movie the most integral reminder– is that we’re all so much stronger than we realize. When I look back on my life and recall some of the things I’ve been through, I’m sometimes shocked that I’ve made it to where I am today. I never consider myself particularly strong or brave, but I was — and still am, I suppose. And you are too. If things are hard, remind yourself that you really are stronger than you realize.

There are a number of more life lessons i have learnt in my journey and this movie reminds me too that One person can make a difference. At the beginning of the movie Katniss (even me) had no idea how important she was. As time went on, her actions and reactions showed that her presence was more than just a pawn in a game. She was a symbol of change, a rebellious spirit who had an opportunity to change thousands of lives with a single act.

Now, I know this sounds fiction to you and we’re not all destined to be heroic warriors, but Katniss’s bravery and determination reminded me that we all have power — a power we can use for good or for evil. This power is choice. With every choice we make, we are impacting not only our lives but all of the lives touching ours. However small you might think you are, you have more power than you realize and every choice you make can impact others so choose wisely, your actions can inspire others to act, and your decision can make others follow you in the right path.

Defining a life of purpose!

 purpose

When i was a teenager i remember sitting in a science class and listening to my teacher explain the meaning of life, he said life was the vital component of any orgasm that made it a living thing,. That is to say, without life all that exists on the surface of the earth would never have been seen, so it was concluded biologically that whatever moves, reproduces, grows, feeds, excretes. breathes, feels and eventually dies has life, To me this meant life is the invisible part of any living that allows it to carry out all the functions just mentioned in the above lines

I come to think of this today when am 28 years, and as i type this in a few months to come i will be 29, as humans, the moment we come into this world so much seems to be expected of us, meaning biologically life is that element which enables us to carry out our earthly & more functions. e.g,from birth there are a whole list of functions lined up to you, as a child you are expected to crawl at a certain time.,walk or run at another the truth is as far as you are alive you will perpetually be subject to some expectations.

Life will make demands on us till we die, As long as u have life u are expected to produce a fruit. Levels of expectations also vary per individual because our sources also differ, E.g, what the universe expects of me may not be what it expects of you. As humans we are expected to do something that impacts positively those around us, those expectations will require us to carry out certain functions, so in the end we are expected to accomplish certain tasks which leads to fulfilling a life’s purpose.

A life purpose is dealing with what is in front of you, now. When you learn to address difficulties successfully you are evolving and your life is on purpose. Addressing challenges is the modern practice becoming a winner. Human life is a school for learning how to create responsibly by embracing the consequences of actions and translating them into wisdom that provides solutions for better more lives. We are born ignorant of who we are and what we are capable of for a reason:
To discover oneself by learning our difficult life lessons. The difficult challenges we encounter in life are opportunities for growth and evolution. Challenges shape your character and, challenges are overcome by accessing hidden potentials latent within you.

Once a life lesson is learned and integrated you have greater strength, love, power and wisdom available to “see” more resourceful perspectives for addressing the next difficult challenge. This is a sign that you are growing and evolving and moving towards fulfilling your life purpose

So, what keeps one keep going?

go
Recently I had the opportunity to realize that i have done many things, overcome obstacles & difficulties and taken steps that I thought could never be possible for me. When I was young, I was so shy that I wouldn’t speak to anyone. When I did, I would usually end up shaking and almost panting, which would mortify me and I would retreat even more. , For example i used to write good letters to young girls in my adolescence time but i could not stand to talk to them even a single word, i used to prefer writing to speaking, but I didn’t want to give in to this because inside me i felt i could do anything and more perfectly. I liked making business and this could push me to speak because selling needed much of speech, my mother kept pushing me every morning to say hello to someone new and add two more words, i did this and gradually i found myself defying the fear to approach people which increased the strength of believing in myself to take more challenges.
I started approaching people to sell whichever i used to sell those days to raise school fees and i was through most of the times, I wanted to grow and be all that God & Mum wanted me to be despite the challenges that were surrounding me. It was very hard at first for me to initiate a conversation and introduce an item i would be selling but it became easier with time. Even now, there are times I get nervous and the words just don’t come quickly though am always told that’s natural but i always defy the silent in me and let the ideas in me come out. After all this i kept asking myself what made me overcome this and keep going ahead steps at a time when others were giving up who some of them are living hopeless lives?
Well, No one can underestimate the power of a positive mind and its role in our success! It’s of vital importance to keep our minds positive, dreaming big, hopeful and on the right track if we are to overcome difficulties and achieve balanced success in our career, finances, health, emotions, relationships and spiritual lives. The analogy I discovered here is like one of a radio station. For example, there may be a “Success” station ( just thinking).. But the only way you can hear a radio station is to be tuned into it. The same is true with our minds and success. If our minds and our thoughts get sidetracked, our success will get sidetracked. As our minds stay tuned in to “success or achieving a goal’ positively with belief and hope, our bodies will then strongly carry out our success by all means and we will begin to experience abundance! This demonstrated to me how far you can come with the help of self belief, focus, positive mindset,Action, perseverance, mentor-ship and God’s guidance.
