It’s hard to be understood

37574-woman-looking-up-sky-1200.630w.tn

Many times your contentment plan will not be understood by some people around you . Your plan should touch you at an emotional level, it should touch your heart but it doesn’t need to touch outsiders at an emotional level as you.

One’s progressive plan should be powerful; speak to their emotions, and believe in it emphatically. When others see or read it they may feel that it is lame. They may not be moved by it. It might not even make sense to them, That’s cool, because you are “You” not “Them”. Most of them will judge you from temporally failures and mistakes , but stand strong. What matters most is how you feel about your Plan and believe in it to core.

It’s a “Yourself ” statement to the world about your beliefs and uniqueness and how you plan to stay true to them and impact others in an ethical manner. Many people will reject to believe it, most more people will disregard it, they think its impossible, but some will be drawn to it , focus on those. And that’s the clear definition of growth.

As one progresses , you will fall, make mistakes, hurt others unknowingly, correct yourself, reconcile with those you hurt and learn more lessons and take more challenges ahead to reach your destiny and not be understood. You don’t need to give up because people don’t understand your dreams and visions.

Before 1903, no one believed people can fly in the air, the Wright brothers (Men who made the first aeroplane) learnt from the birds and made a plan and no one believed them to make something to fly, they believed deep in their plan and vision and today aeroplanes and flying in the air is no-longer an exciting issue to anyone. They were mis-understood but they didn’t care, they believed in the validity of their contentment plan.
A boat captain and the sailors knows how to navigate through the waters till their destiny.
You are the captain of your boat, let no one measure less the greatness that lies within you.

How to be a janitor that earns seven figures. Act and think like an entrepreneur.

77979722-87e3-430f-b0a1-29933dfa2782

How much is a janitor paid? You may not be sure but the biggest they can get is 300,000UGX  but the biggest number earn between 180,000UGX to 230,000UGX. Truth be told if a cleaner is working for a company, that company is paid over 1.5 million which it picks less than 300k and pay the real service deliverer (Cleaner). You will tell me that the company has other costs like taxes, rent and others, yes it’s true, but how much do they remain with? In this era, as a small nest entrepreneur you can operate on less with no rental space but only position yourself well on the internet.   As an entrepreneurial trainer and serial entrepreneurial,   I can tell that as a janitor or any other hand skilled person you can act as an entrepreneur.   Now, we tend to see entrepreneurs as people who think in a pretty specific way forgetting that you can also think that way. If there was an entrepreneur club today, you would be more likely to get your membership card based on how you think about things rather than what you do for a living.

The way entrepreneurs think is called the entrepreneurial mindset.  At our organization LEGACY PEARLS – AFRICA , we’ve been teaching people how to think like entrepreneurs and as we share the concepts with more and more people, we are learning more and more about what the mindset is, how it works, how to teach it and how it can be applied.

Today let’s look at someone who has been unemployed for a time and decides to settle for a cleaner job. That is kind of limiting if you stay on that job for more than a year. You should use it to secure a foundation. Now statistics show that most small corporate offices are always looking out for small and medium cleaning companies to offer cleaning services to them, they fear giant companies due to high charges and they hate hiring direct individuals for specific reasons like labor benefits and monitoring all time.  So how do you tap into this opportunity?

In your own means register a company/business and secure a Tax identification number, set up online platforms for your company e.g. on Yellow pages, Yellow.ug, Facebook, Google maps and etc. These corporate offices look for cleaning companies online, so position yourself well and lay your traps better.  Set up a company profile and write short proposals and keep them smart and deliver them to your desired clients and keep following up.  Now you may be thinking am crazy, yes I am, great things to happen there must be some stage of madness about situations.

After all is set, whenever you deliver your proposals, don’t apply as a cleaner but apply as a cleaning company. Come small as you are and portray as big in that big boardroom.  Once you get lucky and land a gig, you will be paid as a company four times more than a normal individual cleaner would be paid. Sign an agreement (most contracts go for a year or more) buy very few specific equipment which cost less than 100k (MOPS, BUCKET AND Brushes) and start cleaning by yourself, giving yourself a title as a cleaner under ABC company (you formed). Remember here you will be earning least 1.5m per months.  Minus small operational costs, you through your company name /business you can save more than 1m ( few managers earn that unless they are senior managers). In this era where landing a job is a job itself of a kind that never pays, the only remedy is to think and act as an entrepreneur. You lay traps to catch more through a certain maze-full road. It may be daunting but it’s worth the effort. Are you looking to earn seven figure yet you are a janitor or nay other small skill person? Think like an entrepreneur. At NBK-BUSINESS SOLUTIONS AND LEGACY PEARLS – AFRICA we guide you to make this come true, just with ease.

The dark side an entrepreneur will never tell you about!

start ups

“No matter how many highs you get, most entrepreneurs feel fatigued and depressed and get some incredibly low times. Almost universally we put on a very positive public face and you would rarely know, but the more time you spend with fellow entrepreneurs after they have left their latest startup, the more they are more open about talking about those dark days”

Contributions form : Nail Habison.

Being an entrepreneur looks more desirable, and I should know because I am one.   At 32 I have ticked a good few boxes: I’ve had an exit,  failed businesses, raised some seed money  for three different businesses and now run two startups and one scale up – all with global ambitions (Yes, Global ambitions)

But despite living what some might think is the cool “entrepreneurial dream”, I have suffered from fatigue, depression and anxiety throughout most of my success and failures.

Given the huge pressure that most founders come under during the early years (0-3 years) of a business, it is actually even more likely that they’ll get drained. I didn’t know what it was before, but now I know the signs,  I see it happen to people all the time. It is such a taboo subject though that nobody ever wants to talk about it because of the fear of being seen as a struggling.

Speaking in reality, the odds against a startup succeeding are always slim enough, and those pressures often catch up on founders and result in depression and fatigue.

As an entrepreneur, it can be tempting to develop a front, suggesting that everything about you–and your business–is going well when it isn’t and that’s a dangerous habit. We all suffer a lot of this stuff, the cover up is worse than the crime. All of the things we do to try to prove to the world that we’re fine is what causes all of these problems, and it feeds on itself.

I always Set aside time for mindful reflection.

One thing that has helped me always (advised by my mentor) is the practice of mindfulness and meditation. Whether or not you realize it in the moment, this process will help build muscles you’ll likely need to flex later on. I set aside 20 minutes at least every day for mindful reflection and mediation. When I don’t do that, the feelings don’t go away, they fester. They come out in really weird ways, like emotional outbursts at people I care about or i just lose the mojo and spark and go deep into hibernation-like mode.

I am an entrepreneur, i have the dark side you don’t know, but it is not scaring given the torch to light!

13 year old “SERUTWE”: Responsibility

USA COLORADO ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK NYMPH LAKE

“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”
__Viktor E. Frankl

The word ‘Serutwe’ in my local language means “Of a big head”. I was a dark little boy with a big head, so from that I was nicknamed Serutwe as a way of mocking me, Imagine a dark big-headed boy in tattered village cloth; Total disaster, right?. More to that I was clever in class so pupils could make statements in class like “Serutwe is clever. Serutwe is poor, join sentences using ‘both’ ”, all in form of mocking me.

There were reminders of grief but i was too much optimistic to be pulled down. As a little boy after my primary education level, I happened to be one of the best pupils in performance, what came as luck but hurting was that I turned out to be one of the best pupils in the sub-county yet I was from a poor village public school whose education standards you could doubt compared to other good schools, but there was no school fees little as 15dollars for a school term to push me ahead. There was a sponsorship from the white fathers but as I was selected, the deal was cut amidst by a middle man.

My mother who earned less than two dollars per week advised me to take leave from studies for a year so that a year after she may sell her crops after harvesting but to me as a little boy, I knew the family needed the food too since my mother never grew crops on a large scale. A week after all my former primary seven class mates had gone to their newly promoted secondary schools, I, the best performer was still home with no school fees and nothing to do but rather than waking up early, yawn, stretch, look at the brighter rising sun and start writing my dreams on the stony sand of my home compound. With a giant voice inside I clearly recall telling myself several times that “There is a way”.

I had the desire to keep going forward with impact, it seemed like being stagnant in mind and growth to sit home for a year. I had always had this driving force to never stop moving for a day since my early age. I had the urge for progressive learning and growth.

I had the highest level of anger (constructive one not the negative one) against knowledge-poverty and life limitations since I had seen my elder sister taste the thickest soup of grief due to less knowledge exposure. I created a mantra of promising myself every morning to be the best and change such a status.

I chose to take responsibility for my life since I had proof that no one else could make it for me, I felt I had the master key to unlock closed doors of growth opportunities. Yes, I believed everything is possible so long as one gets involved in the making. See the things we yearn for in life are not already made but available for the making. Sometimes all one needs to break the nutshell is just the decision, the self-belief and courage. I made up my mind the next day, i became curious and i acted. I chose to keep going and defy the odds at my front.

I called mummy in a tiny voice of 13 years and reminded her what she used to tell me. I said  “Mother, remember what you always tell me, “It’s just how life is but we have the responsibility to change this, and today I take the first step to take responsibility in making the life of my vision, this is the price I have to pay” . Trembling in black fitting shorts, with past year unfinished books (we had no money to buy new books so I used the past since I had some fresh pages) I was seen in the village school compound ready to take off for another level…..
An extract from my soon coming book #WINNINGBYCHOICE

“The undiluted determination and infinite appetite for possibility”

small-actions-success
Most of people (Including me) just Live. We just ‘get by’ because we never take the necessary action to make things happen, to seek dreams come true. I have heard lots of people say: ” I know who i am, i want that and this”, but come on!, knowing what you are doesn’t guarantee to get what you want, there must be one unique step beyond the common to take.. Simple girls are in the wedlock because they had a certain perspective, a simple strategy and a unique action they took, Shabby men have grown rich, because they have that unique perspective to money and work, they have some unique action and small choice they make every now and then that separates them from the common.
There is a certain life we all want, we want to be in that CEO chair, be in that wedlock, travel those beautiful countries, name it all, but what really makes one see these come true? I also have no answer for this.. But don’t be confused, we all struggle to be what we want to be but at times we have to design new roads other than traveling the ones we found cultivated. Does this sound like some situation you know? Yes, it is.
Successful people, have that look in their eyes: “That undiluted determination and infinite appetite for possibility”. They live in constructive flow, always looking for a way, always taking the next logical step. Did i say Logical? Yes, Logical. Logical doesn’t mean routine, but twisting and stirring things up to get some desired mixed ingredients at the end. Look, Most people want always to pray it safe, but there is no way to get Gold from the mine under ground without stains on your hands.. The logic must be there. “Take action, not just action but extra ordinary action without worrying of the unknown. It sounds too simple, doesn’t it?
So before you stop reading this and go back to your routine to blame, complain or just Live, listen up. In every situation there is always a ‘most constructive’ path to choose. Whether you’re running a business, having a conversation, dating that cutie, walking down the street and see someone you’d like to meet, or even just entertaining yourself by reading Facebook posts, whichever it is; there’s always a constructive path.
Ask yourself, “What hard and paining decision or action can I take right now that will make me more deserving and contented in my own eyes and spirit at the end?” The interesting thing is that as you ask yourself this question, some electric force like fireworks will explode in your mind and illuminate your entire being with the feeling of what success will be like if you did. Look around , the year starts , you keep there, women get pregnant and give birth, before you blink, they wed and before you finish lamenting they are a grown family.
Men start businesses in the toughest situations and before you finish your mockery to them, they have grown to big businesses. Wives love and correct their husbands and before you finish barking at yours for stupid mistakes, they are a family yet yours is a shamble-zone. Look, It’s not how perfect one starts but about how you will move correcting oneself and perfectly end. Road constructors start with a muddy , rocky ground but end up with a smooth energizing tarmac. Whats that thing you can start today painfully or in shame that will later provide contentment as time goes on? Give it a try!. .
So ask yourself the question and think about what will help you move forward with your burning desire or long fought-for dream. Immerse yourself in thought. What is it that you really want? And what choice can you make right now that will help you get one step closer, Are you always too tough and calculative, apply simplicity and see the magical results, Have you been complicating things for the cutie you are dating and things are falling apart, Yes, look through and take some extra ordinary decision, some extra ordinary action and some extra ordinary attitude.
Can you, break some rules today and take a constructive path, Take some thing extra ordinary today. There must be a simple action in some direction that you have to take. It doesn’t matter which direction, North or south, so long as you will still rotate and reach your destiny!

ACCEPT THE REALITY OF LIFE.

accpeting-reality-1024x682

The starting point for any recovery is to stop wallowing in your misery and accept the reality. Whether it’s a relationship, job, business or finances, You must accept the reality first. Yes, it’s a bummer. Yes, you’re likely the victim of somebody else wrongdoing or your own doings, or uncontrollable circumstances. Yes, it’s devastating. But Most important of all;- None of that matters now.

When a not-expected event happens, just stand strong and know what’s done is done and there is no turning back. Resisting what’s already a fact is futile, so don’t waste your energy – accept the reality. I have seen lots of men and women who try to resist the reality, its very bad, trying to resist the reality makes you lose power to restart and revive what have been messed. Living in the past only makes forward progress more difficult. some things will be mended as you keep going. Leave what happened to take care of itself for now, accept the setback, let go of it, and commit to forward movement and revival of few damages incurred.

Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s the best way to help yourself and others in the near future. As long as you waste your energy wallowing in your misery, you’ll have that much less energy to dedicate to solving the very real challenges you face to move forward in life.
The best defense is a good offense, so get out of defensive mode and get started on the road to recovery with a clear offensive strategy.

Amazing Facts about Hiring a professional cleaning company in Uganda.

One way for business owners to focus more on their business is to turn the cleaning duties over to well-respected professional cleaning services. There are countless benefits of having someone else responsible for cleaning the office, including:

When business owners delegate cleaning duties to office staff, morale can sink. Office workers do not want to clean the bathroom, empty the trash, dust, etc. Allow your workers to do what they do best and leave cleaning to the experts. The experts are passionate and trained about every work, so they fear no space at work places.

A Professional cleaning company is skilled in properly cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing. There is much more to keeping an office or facility clean than simply making sure everything is orderly. These experts know what to do in order to ensure a clean environment. As dust builds, offices can easily become respiratory hazards. Thorough dusting can help ensure your office space has minimal allergens.

Professional cleaning companies can ensure certain products are kept on hand like paper towels in the restroom as well as toilet paper. Business owners can easily overlook things like this given their other responsibilities. Office workers, customers/clients, deserve to have everything they need in the restroom.
When offices are clean and sanitized, those working in the office are less likely to get sick. When workers are sick, there is always a loss in production or output due to less concentration and absenteeism.

Entreprenuers: Beyond wildest dreams.

Originally shared on Blue ocean strategy.

Zuckerberg founded Facebook at age 20  when he was still in college. Zuckerberg is now one of the wealthiest people in the world, valued at more than $40.7 billion. Sergey Brin and Larry Page founded Google when they were both 25. British entrepreneur Carl Churchill started his first Web design business at age 12. Today he’s worth more than $10 million. Juliath Brindak began creating sketches of characters at age 10, and then developed a complementary social-media platform at age 16. Her company, Miss O & Friends is now worth an estimated $15 million and the list goes on and on…

But, what exactly are these entrepreneurs doing right that’s making them succeed while still being so young and inexperienced? What can entrepreneurs at any age learn from them. Here are the key things that make entrepreneurs wildly wealthy at a young age:

  • They innovate and create their own markets.
Successful entrepreneurs go beyond just creating better versions of what is already in the market. They also invest their time and resources into creating something totally new, bringing to life systems that are more efficient and/or more stylish. In doing so, they create their own market and offer people better solutions and experiences. No entrepreneur epitomizes this innovative genius better than Steve Jobs. Jobs introduced the stylish, high-end Macintosh computers, which etched their own space in the computer market and continue to dominate that market today. Even Bill Gates acknowledged his tech rival’s genius when he said:
“To create a new standard, it takes something that’s not just a little bit different; it takes something that’s really new and really captures people’s imagination—and the Macintosh, of all the machines I’ve ever seen, is the only one that meets that standard.”
  • They are risk takers and action oriented.
No ‘analysis paralysis’, here. These successful entrepreneurs just do it. They take risks. From dropping out of college to playing the stock market and venturing into new industries, these entrepreneurs are risk takers.
  • They seek the support of people that can help them grow.
No entrepreneurial venture really succeeds without utilizing the right people. Successful entrepreneurs know this. They utilize the power of other successful and well-known people (like the “sharks”) to build credibility. Not connecting with the right people can cost you your success as an entrepreneur.
  • They see opportunities and then exploit them.
As a student, George Burgess had trouble finding any useful apps to help him prepare for his A-levels. The fact that there are numerous apps in the market for just about anything you can think of, and that none of them helped students get through their education struck him as an ideal opportunity for investment.
  • They use self-initiative and work hard and smart.
The only way to build something great is to work really hard and really smart. An entrepreneur needs to spot opportunities and then take it upon himself to step in and fill that need. According to Facebook’s Zuckerberg, you should devote yourself to what you are doing as an entrepreneur and if this means missing a few nights out then so be it.
  • They are strategic thinkers; they work on the business and minimize the effort spent on operation of the business.
Successful entrepreneurs understand the necessity to grow their business in as many different ways as possible in order to reach more people. This could be really costly and inefficient; but instead of skipping it, successful entrepreneurs make use of tools to help them achieve the purpose. They know that with a wise tool that can facilitate them to manage different selling channels effectively is halfway to success. Tools like Shopify minimizes the operation costs of the business by facilitating selling of products and services across different channels, so entrepreneurs can concentrate on the strategies of growing the business.
  • They are creative and continually come up with great new ideas.
Successful entrepreneurs not only take initiative, but also make fast decisions and adjust along the way- quickly! That’s because people tire of commodities fast, and if you don’t create something new and interesting, you will get left behind. Bill Gates – who himself dropped out of Harvard to co-found Microsoft with Paul Allen, and was the youngest billionaire in the world at just 31 years old- revealed the secret to his phenomenal success saying, “In three years, every product my company makes will be obsolete. The only question is whether we will make them obsolete or somebody else will.” Constantly adapting, improving, and putting a bit of yourself and your personality into your products is what will keep people begging for more.
  • They stay patient and focused as their business grows.
Good things come to those who wait. Knowing how to let things grow and develop, while focusing on doing a variety of tasks that help the process along, is an important part of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Too many people give up too soon because of impatience. But building successful businesses takes time, even for such gifted people as Steve Jobs. Jobs didn’t really get on the map until the Macintosh was invented eight years after he and Steve Wozniak founded Apple Inc. at 21 and 26 years of age respectively. You need to keep focused and stay patient to succeed as an entrepreneur.
  • They diversify and re-invest their riches
The most successful entrepreneurs diversify and re-invest their riches. This ensures that they never go broke. Gary Martin, a young Irish entrepreneur began running his own nightclub at the tender age of 15 (the drinking ages in the U.K. are vastly lower than in the U.S.). By the time he was 17, he had moved on to property management. By 18, he was worth $20 million and counting. He understood the importance of re-investing and diversifying your wealth. Unfortunately, not all entrepreneurs understand this fact.Andrew Fashion designed mini rocket launchers and was worth more than $2 million by the time he was 20.
